Effect of Online Health Guidance on Recovery of Postpartum Minor Discomforts and Neonatal Problems during COVID-19 Pandemic

Background: Due to COVID-19 Pandemic, the hospitalization time of mother and newborn has shortened resulting in limited knowledge skills postnatal home-care. With development technology, maternity nurse becomes able provide online postpartum guidance for enriching women with information be deal minor discomforts neonatal problems, also minimize risk infection caused by face-to-face visits during pandemic. Aim: This study aimed assess effect health on recovery problems Design: A quasi- experimental (pretest/posttest) research design was used. Setting: carried out Obstetric Gynecological Inpatient Wards Labor Delivery unit at Mansoura University Hospitals, city, Dakahlia governorate, Egypt. Study subjects: non-probability purposive sample 130 primiparous mothers their newborns who were fulfilling criteria. Tools: structured interview questionnaire cover data related general characteristics questions mother’s about follow up sheet satisfaction likert scale. Results: The present results showed that there a highly significant first second week post intervention compared pre few percentage needed referral facility, also, majority studied satisfied contents taken through it.
